Homemade No-Cook Sweetened Condensed Milk
Need to make a recipe, but you are out of sweetened condensed milk?? No worries! This homemade no-cook sweetened condensed milk recipe only takes two ingredients and 4 simple steps!
No-Cook Sweetened Condensed Milk with Raisins
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup raisins
Directions
STEP 1
Combine milk and raisins in a glass jar.
STEP 2
Place the jar in the fridge for 24 hours.
STEP 3
Strain the raisins out of the milk. Discard the raisins in your compost pile or use them in cereal or oatmeal.
STEP 4
Store this sweetened condensed milk in an airtight container, like a mason jar, for 1 week in the fridge or up to 3 months in the freezer.

Hello! I tried this recipe, but it did not really set up or ‘condense’ to get the proper consistency of sweetened condensed milk, though it certainly tasted sweet. Did I do something wrong or is it supposed to keep the same consistency as normal milk?
It definitely doesn’t get as thick because this recipe isn’t technically “condensing” since there is no heat and evaporation. This recipe is more for the flavor.
