How to Make Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk
#1 Light Sweetened Condensed Milk
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2/3 cup honey OR white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Directions
1. Add milk and honey/sugar to a small-medium sauce pan.
2. Heat on low to dissolve the sugar or honey. Make sure that it is all dissolved well before moving to the next step.
3. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Do not stir while the mix is simmering or the sugar could crystallize.
