Local Honey, butter, and homemade bread are three of my all-time favorite foods. Healthy? Not so much. Delicious  & Satisfying? You bet your bottoms! I combined those ingredients together into a mouth-watering Honey Butter Dinner Rolls recipe that I am sure you will love.

It takes about an hour to have these ready, but most of that time is rise & bake time so you can work on other things while the rolls prepare themselves: This is a seriously simple recipe(my favorite kind) so even the busiest mamas can enjoy these sweet & tasty rolls as the perfect side for any Southern comfort food dinner!

9. Melt butter and honey in a small sauce pan and then brush this glaze over the top of the honey butter dinner rolls.

Honey Butter Dinner Rolls: Baking Hack

The next time that I made these yummy rolls I realized that I was out of flour after mixing all of the other ingredients in :/

Helpful hint–> always check ingredient availability in your pantry before you start

Necessity is the mother of invention.

This issue was remedied by replacing the missing flour with some boxed pancake mix that I had stashed in the pantry. Here is how that turned out…

The dough was a little stickier this time than in the original recipe, but I wasn’t going to give up on it this far in. I put the dough into a muffin pan to help shape the dough since it wouldn’t form into balls as well.

These rolls were cooked at the same temperature and for the same amount of time as the original recipe. They turned out great!

I didn’t put the glaze on these, but they were delicious and sweet! My son was able to help serve these at Soulfood Cafe and people seemed to really enjoy them:)

  1. Hi! I just found this recipe 🙂 I plan to bake these the day before Thanksgiving but will wait to glaze them until right before dinner. What do you suggest is the best way to warm them back up?
