Quick 25 Week Pregnancy Update: Baby #3
I am 25 weeks pregnant….What?!?!
It feels like we were just seeing those two little lines yesterday and now we are 15 weeks away from having this sweet thing!
For those of you who don’t know, this is our 3rd child. We have a very intelligent 7 year old boy who is destined to be an engineer and a 17 month old sassy girl bound to master horsemanship by the age of 3 and drive her mama and daddy crazy;). Number 3 is another little girl and we feel so blessed!
25 Week Pregnancy: Pregnancy Symptoms
I am thankful to be able to report that I am not having tons of symptoms during this trimester. I am a little more tired than usual and I am ever expanding, but overall I feel pretty good.
Sometimes I actually forget that I am pregnant. That is until someone asks me about the baby or I get a crazy hunger pang or craving. Sometimes I even respond to questions about ‘the baby’ with information about my 17 month old… Goodness, I feel like mommy brain has taken over such a vast amount of my brain that pregnancy really has nothing left to steal from me.
Chronic Contractions
During my last pregnancy I didn’t have a chance to forget about the changes going on because I was contracting every 3 minutes! They weren’t just typical Braxton Hicks contractions, but roll around on a stability ball and cry like a baby contractions. This led to bedrest from 31 weeks until delivery. I was thankful to be able to take off of work, but I felt terrible. It was insane, but apparently I am just a chronic contractor (aka irritable uterus) and there is nothing I can do about it. Because of that and some other concerns I get to have an ultrasound every month! God does give us good things out of the bad:).
My appointment was on Friday and everything looked great! Here is the photo that we were able to snap during the 25 week pregnancy ultrasound… Yep, those are her feet on her head and she is sucking her thumb. Crazy child flips all the time and according to my ultrasound tech this is what she does right before each flip.
I am super nervous about having two little girls under the age of 2, but the adventures they bring should give me lots of great stories to share with y’all! Hope you stick around for those…
