Budget Friendly Alice in ONEderland Birthday Party

Alice in ONEderland Invitation

This was our invitation. It is nothing fancy, but it was also free! For me, free is better than fancy. I made it on the PicCollage app on my iPhone. I received many compliments on it and it worked perfectly for what we needed.

ONEderland Decor

I purchased tissue paper at Hobby Lobby for $1.99/pack. I bought 3 packs. You can also get this at the Dollar Tree. I used the tissue paper to make these cute little hanging pom poms.

Remember the group of  “this way, that way, wrong way, yonder” signs that Alice was met with when she entered Wonderland? We wanted those in our Alice in ONEderland birthday party as well. You can purchase these on Etsy, but I just made them myself. I typed the words that I wanted into Microsoft Word, printed them on colored paper and cut them into whimsical arrow shapes.

These awesome cupcake holders were a DIY project as well! I make two total so I bought four (fake) silver trays and two glass candle holders from the Dollar Tree. I flipped the candle holder upside down (largest end on top) and put it between the two trays. That’s it! If you want to make it a little sturdier then you can hot glue the holder to the plates, but I skipped that step.

You will see in the food photos that we used a tea pot  and some little chalkboard signs with “Eat Me” and “Drink Me” written on them. The tea pot was from my childhood tea party set and the signs were from Hobby Lobby.

We also used colorful tablecloths, plates, napkins, and balloons from the Dollar Store and Walmart.

1st Birthday Party- Alice in ONEderland- Food

It was a tea party so of course we had to make finger foods! We just made ham and cheese sandwiches, cut the crust off, and cut them into little triangles.

Add some chips and drinks and the food was taken care of!

The Party Girl’s Outfit

I really wanted my sweet girl to look like Alice on her big day in ONEderland so my mother and I made this little light blue dress with white lace around the sleeves and the bottom. (maybe $6 to buy material and lace)
