How to Make Patriotic Greek Yogurt Popsicles
Are you needing a simple and yummy snack for the kiddos this 4th of July? These Patriotic greek yogurt popsicles with fresh fruit might be just what you are looking for!
This recipe makes a creamy popsicle that is the perfect fun treat for a summer party or just for the kids to enjoy in the backyard while playing with party snaps!
Red, White, & Blue Yogurt and Berry Popsicles
These homemade popsicles are so incredibly easy to make and they are the PERFECT treat for a hot summer day!
This recipe contains 4 simple ingredients and no added sugar.
Patriotic Popsicle Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 3-4 cups full-fat greek yogurt
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup (if using unsweetened yogurt)
- 1/2 c blueberries or blackberries
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries or raspberries sliced
- a popsicle mold or ice cube tray
Notes:
- This perfect patriotic dessert recipe made 12 large popsicles.
- You can use plain yogurt instead of greek yogurt. Just don’t add the milk.
- If you use a flavored yogurt (like vanilla greek yogurt), you won’t have to add as much honey.
Directions:
STEP 1
Mix the milk and honey in with the plain greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is thicker than regular yogurt so we add milk here to thin it out a bit for the popsicles. You don’t have to add milk, but I prefer it. You can simply stir the mixture with a spoon or add it to a blender or food processor.
STEP 2
Put a few blueberries at the bottom of the popsicle mold to make the blue layer.
STEP 3
Add some of the greek yogurt mixture and press it down so it goes around the berries.
STEP 4
Top the first layer of yogurt with red berries to make a red layer.
STEP 5
Add more greek yogurt on top of the berries and press down gently so the yogurt fills in around the berries..
STEP 6
Continue layering red berries for red layers (like the stripes on the flag) and yogurt until you have a final layer of yogurt on the top.
STEP 7
Put the popsicle sticks in and add the lid if your mold has one. Put them in the freezer and leave them for 6-8 hours or overnight.
Seriously, how much easier could that be? Whip up these healthy patriotic popsicles for your family to enjoy on July 4th or Memorial Day!
My Favorite Popsicle Molds
I love this popsicle mold! It makes 12 popsicles, the silicone mold makes for an easy release, and it has one lid that covers the whole mold. I have used popsicle molds in the past that have an individual lid for each popsicle and that becomes a pain to wash and keep up with.
If you don’t have a popsicle mold, you can use ice cube trays with popsicle sticks. These popsicles will be smaller, but just as yummy!

**Let us not get so wrapped up in the cookouts and pool/lake side family time this weekend that we forget what this holiday is about.
We are to remember and honor those who have served our country and fallen in the process. We have so much because some gave all.
Talk with your children about the sacrifices that military men & women make to give us the freedom that we are able to enjoy.**
