Whether you are a multiple-cups-a-day coffee lover OR a one-cup-a-week coffee drinker, this post has a homemade coffee creamer recipe perfect for you!

Why Should You Make Your Own Homemade Coffee Creamer?

 1. Eco-Friendly

It can be difficult to find coffee creamer in sustainable packaging. Sure, you can recycle the plastic bottles, but that plastic will still end up in the earth somewhere someday. You can also purchase creamer in cardboard containers, but that cardboard has a plastic liner so it isn’t completely  biodegradable/compostable either. When you make your own coffee creamer, you can avoid this packaging for the most part…especially if you are making your own ingredients as well.

 2. Delicious & Customizable

Homemade coffee creamer is so tasty! You can make it as sweet (or unsweet) as you want. You control all of the ingredients so you can tailor it specifically to your taste preference.

 3. Affordable

Making your own coffee creamer can also save you a bit on your grocery bill over time.

 4. Healthier

These recipes are free from refined sugar and other less-than-healthy ingredients that you will find in store bought creamers.

Homemade Coffee Creamer 2 Ways

There are two different ways that I like to make my coffee creamer. If I want to have creamer ready to pour straight from the fridge in the mornings, then I use recipe #1. This recipe requires cooking, but it makes a larger amount that will last throughout the week.

If I want to make my creamer on a cup-by-cup basis, then I use recipe #2. This recipe requires no cooking, but it is best when made fresh each morning.

Homemade Coffee Creamer Ingredients

#1 Coffee Creamer

1. Mix milk and sweetened condensed milk together in a sauce pan. 2. Cook for 5-7 minutes until it is thickened and bubbly.
3. Add flavorings.
4. Cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 5 days.

OR

#2 No-Cook Instant Homemade Coffee Creamer

  1. Mix maple syrup or honey into the milk.
  2. Add in your flavorings and stir.
  3. If you like your creamer frothed, you can simply add all ingredients into your milk frother (or shaking jar) and froth everything together.
