2 Ways to Make Homemade Heavy Cream
You can make a simple full-fat heavy cream with 2 staple ingredients OR a low-fat heavy cream with 3 staple ingredients. Both are easy peasy and take 20 minutes or less. I don’t recommend using this heavy cream to whip, but it works great in recipes that require heavy cream.Recipe #1: 2-Ingredient Heavy Cream Recipe
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Whole Milk
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter
Directions
1. Melt butter Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium-high heat or in a mixing bowl in the microwave. 2. Combine Combine the milk and melted butter in a medium-sized mixing bowl or a blender. *Use a mixing bowl if you plan to use a whisk in the next step. If you do not want to use a whisk (because it will take for-ev-er), then add it to a blender.

2-Ingredient Heavy Cream
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Whole Milk
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium-high heat or in a mixing bowl in the microwave.
- Combine the milk and melted butter in a medium-sized mixing bowl or a blender. *Use a mixing bowl if you plan to use a whisk in the next step. If you do not want to use a whisk (because it will take for-ev-er), then add it to a blender.
- Whisk or blend the mixture until it reaches the consistency that you want. This can take a little while and I highly recommend the use of a blender instead of a whisk. It took about 10 minutes in the blender to reach the consistency that I wanted (see the photo below).

If you do not want to use a whisk (because it will take for-ev-er), then add it to a blender. 3. Whisk Whisk or blend the homemade heavy cream mixture until it reaches the consistency that you want. This can take a little while and I highly recommend the use of a blender instead of a whisk.
