Cleaning, cooking, teaching, sports, service projects, church events… This list contains just a few of the things that mothers have on their plates on a daily basis. As a mother of three wild and spirited kiddos, I have found myself in the midst of chaos on more days than I would like to admit. I have been guilty of forgetting what day it is, skipping meetings, and not starting my slow cooker dinner until 4 PM (late dinners are acceptable, right?). My household management skills were falling through the cracks. All of this happened because my mama brain would get overloaded with all of the things that I needed to be filed away in my already overfilled brain.
Are you struggling to keep up with it all, too, mama?
Are you feeling overwhelmed with all that you have to accomplish each and every day?
You can keep your home in working order without losing your mind by using an effective set of household management lists!
The lists that I am sharing with you here is the very same set that I use in my home! They have been tailored to work for busy mamas who just do not have the time and mental capacity to keep up with everything without a little help.
The Household Management Notebook will help you to take care of your daily household cleaning duties, routines and rhythms, grocery shopping, and meal planning!
So what all will you find inside this Household Management Notebook?
COVER PAGES
This cover sheet can be placed on the front of your binder. I use a binder with a clear front pocket, but you can also laminate and tape or glue the cover to a binder without a pocket. There are also covers for each section: Cleaning, Maintenance, Kitchen, and Finances.
THE CALENDAR PAGE
This page can be used for any month of the year. Just print it out and fill it in.
THE DAILY ROUTINE
My daily routine is split into three sections…morning, afternoon, and evening. I have stopped using specific times for each task because I was feeling down when I would do my dishes at 7:00 PM instead of 6:00 PM. If specific times help you, then by all means, use them, mama! I just prefer to keep my time frame set up with only the morning, afternoon, and evening deadlines. This way I can adjust as needed without feeling like I have ruined my day.
THE TO-DO LIST
You have certain things that you have to accomplish each day and you probably have a running list of those tasks in your mind. I promise you that you could complete these things in a much more effective manner if you had them written out on a pretty piece of paper that is made specifically to hold those tasks for you.

THE WEEKLY CHORE LIST
It is so easy to forget about the chores that are not completed every day. When we do remember we often feel like we just do not have time to do them. That is where this list comes in. There is a section to write specific chores for each day of the week. For example, on Monday I clean out my car as well as the oven and microwave. Tuesdays are
for weeding the garden and cleaning the garage, porch, and patio. This really helps me to keep the bigger tasks in check. You can even give the kids their own customized chore charts!
This pack includes a blank Weekly Chore list that you can fill in with your own chores and tasks as well as a Weekly Chore list that is already pre-filled with tasks. Choose which one works best for you!
THE MONTHLY CHORE LIST
I said that it was easy to forget about the chores that aren’t completed on a daily basis, so how much more difficult is it to remember the ones that are only completed monthly or even yearly?? You guessed it, I have a list for that.
This pack includes 2 Monthly Chore Lists. One is blank for you to fill in with your own monthly chores and tasks and another that is already pre-filled with tasks. Choose which list works best for you!
SEASONAL CHORES
Use this sheet to keep track of the chores/tasks that only need to be completed seasonally.
CHORE CHART
Fill this chore chart in with your child’s name and their daily chores. Give them a check mark or a sticker under each day that they complete.

HOME PROJECTS
I like to keep a running list of homestead projects, home repairs, homeschool project ideas, etc. I don’t want these items cluttering up my daily to-do list when I know they won’t be completed for another month or more so they are kept on this separate list.
SEASONAL PROJECTS
Projects that need to be completed during a specific season go on this list.
HOUSEHOLD MAINTENANCE LOG
When you make repairs, complete routine maintenance, or have any other work done on your home you can list it here.
HOUSEHOLD INVENTORY
List your valuable items on this sheet. This is helpful in case of a fire, flooding, or any other type of disaster that could lead to an insurance claim.
SERVICE CONTACTS
Keep track of your service contacts (cleaning service, utility companies, etc.) on this sheet.

RECIPE CARDS
Write your favorite recipes out on these recipe cards.
