Use a metal heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut a heart shaped hole into the center of the bread.
Grease the warm skillet with a pat of butter and gently crack the egg into the hole.
Wait until the egg white has cooked through enough to flip. Flip the bread and egg over and remove the pan from heat once the egg white has cooked through. Leave the yolk runny.
Move the Egg in Hole to a plate and break the yolk with a fork. Use the heart cut out to sop the yolk.
