White Sandwich Bread


  • 1/2 cup hot water {1/4 cup if using honey}
  • 1/2 cup whole milk {1/4 cup if using honey}
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or vegetable oil {1/8 cup if using honey}
  • 2 TBSP local honey
  • 3 cups all purpose or bread flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp rapid rise yeast


  • Get the bread machine ready with the kneading paddle inserted.
  • Add the liquid ingredients first.
  • Add in the dry ingredients making sure that the yeast is last.
  • Choose your loaf size (I use the 2 lb option) and your crust color.Now you can choose your menu option. For the white sandwich bread that we are doing you would choose the Basic/White setting.
  • Press start & let the machine do it's thing!
  • Remove the kneading paddle before the bake cycle begins.
  • When baking is finished (about 3 hrs normal mode or 1 hour Rapid Bake) you can take the pan out and flip the bread onto a cooling rack.
  • Let it cool completely before slicing.
  • Enjoy!
